During 2024, 50% of Jill’s work has been as a Musical Director for Musical Theatre productions, working on two and three shows simultaneously. Recent theatre groups have ranged from 20 to 180 performers with performance spaces ranging from The Court Theatre, Tring to Aylesbury’s iconic Waterside Theatre.
Alongside her MD work, Jill is passionate about the power of singing and how singing in a choir can improve mental health and ultimately change people’s lives. She founded The Wing and Wendover Singers Community Choirs.
Jill is a competent rehearsal pianist and is very comfortable teaching from the piano during rehearsals. She has an extensive network of fantastic musicians and can guarantee a top-class band for show weeks. Her contacts also include orchestrators and composers - musicians with whom Jill works to rewrite songs and orchestrate pieces for specific instruments. She composes original pieces in her spare time and curates musical recitals.
