Jill believes singing should bring out the best in all of us and be accessible to everyone to showcase their unique and authentic voice. Her extensive coaching and teaching experience of all ages, spans over almost forty years.
As a Head of Music in both the state school system and private sector, she has taught young people from 3-18 years and privately she has taught all ages of children and adults from 6-89 years of age. Jill holds qualifications and is highly experienced in classroom teaching within the school system, teaching more than just singing. She is at home in a classroom, in a workshop environment, teaching groups, mentoring and conducting private coaching.
Presently, Jill is coaching 1 to 1 sessions in musical theatre, singing and drama based at her home studio - students range from semi-professional to professional West End performers.
Depending on the strengths of the performers, when working as an MD, Jill offers 1-1 coaching and recorded teaching and backing tracks. Her extensive experience in all genres of Musical Theatre as a performer and as an MD allows her to understand the needs and challenges of the singers/performers which always drives how Jill coaches, directs and conducts.
Jill has achieved much success coaching her students through vocal and musical theatre exams and achieving record grades for various diploma’s, spanning grades 1 to 8. She runs workshops throughout the summer holidays for groups keen to learn more about musical theatre and her extensive experience with auditions makes her the go-to coach for audition preparation for professionals seeking roles in the West End.
